General Awareness often feels like the least manageable part of SSC CGL preparation.

Remove a question from intensive revision only when you can:
- Recall the answer
- Explain the underlying concept

Consider a candidate with one focused hour available each day.
Monday: Attempt General Awareness questions from one recent paper.
Tuesday: Classify mistakes and prepare micro-notes.
Wednesday: Revise History and Polity errors, then solve ten related questions.
Thursday: Review Science, Geography and Economy mistakes.
Friday: Reattempt doubtful and incorrect PYQs without viewing the options first.
Saturday: Complete a fresh General Awareness test.
Sunday: Compare the mock with the PYQ log and select the following week’s priorities.
This candidate may cover fewer questions than someone reading 500 one-liners every day. Yet every question produces diagnosis, revision and validation.

The most common mistake is memorising the final answer without learning the relationship behind it.
That strategy fails when SSC:
